For those of you not from around these parts, summer in Phoenix is H.O.T! I'm talking, singe your eyebrows and soak your shirt with sweat the minute you walk outside, HOT! So, you better believe I jumped on the opportunity to photograph this sweet couples engagement session in the beautiful (and cooler) Sedona, AZ. We chose cathedral rock as our back drop and it did not disappoint. Honestly, I feel like you can pull over on the side of the road anywhere in Sedona and get a beautiful background to work with. The weather was still a bit sticky and warm thanks to monsoon season but, having roots in Minnesota and Wisconsin, the weather was no big deal for these two love birds.
The sun hid behind the clouds for the first part of our session and we welcomed the shade. These two are naturals in front of the camera and so easy to work with. Just take a look! I had a smile on my face the entire time I edited these. I just love, love!
The sun did finally grace us with it's presence halfway through and I was SO happy because I live for that golden light! How beautiful does Sydney look glowing in it!? (mitch -you don't look so bad either, haha!) He joked that I kept trying to hide his face. I guess when you have a fiancé as beautiful as Syd, it just kind of happens. Sorry Mitch!
We ended the session with a sunset tribute to Sydney's cousin who lost her battle to cancer. These two continue to Live for Liz and I can't help but imagine she is that golden light shining down on them.
I know the future has so many great things in store for you two!
Best wishes and much love!
